Applications Being Accepted for SFSI Training
Since about 1993, I have worked with an organization called San Francsisco Sex Information, and I’ve been teaching as part of their training staff since 1998. SFSI’s annual training is coming up, and we’re currently accepting applications for trainees. Visit the SFSI website for more information.
San Francisco Sex Information (SFSI) trains people to become sex educators and operates a free information and referral switchboard. We provide free, confidential, accurate, non-judgmental information about sex and reproductive health. If you have a question about sex, we’ll either answer it or refer you to someone who can. Our volunteers undergo extensive training in all aspects of human sexuality, including reproduction, birth control, safer sex practices, HIV and other STDs, sexual identity, and gender identity.
If you are interested in becoming a SFSI trained sex educator, we are now accepting applications for the Spring 2009 training cycle.
Interviews for training will be held on Sat, Apr 4th at 1pm and Tue, Apr 7th at 7pm.
Training dates will be:
Apr 18th/19th: Weekend 1: Intro to SFSI Style Sex Education
May 2nd/3rd: Weekend 2: Sex and Medical Science
May 16th/17th: Weekend 3: Sex and Social Science
May 30th/31st: Weekend 4: Sex: All the rest
