San Francisco burlesque dancer and dance instructor Bombshell Betty recently opened “Bombshell Betty’s Fine & Wearable Art Gallery” in SF’s South of Market district. A press release informs us that “The gallery is now seeking artist/designer submissions for consideration in upcoming exhibits. Bombshell Betty’s supports and showcases work from variety and burlesque-related artists, performers, and students as well as artists whose work is inspired by burlesque, pinup, strip tease, variety performance, and vaudeville. We are looking for things that relate (even if only tenuously ) to the burlesque/fetish scene or feminitity/feminism in general.”
