On the outskirts of the mid-sized city of San Esteban at the intersection of Northern California’s Napa and Sonoma Valleys lie the Southernmost estates of the Monteverdi family. Certainly these estates are only the physical manifestation of a much greater empire, for any dedicated wine drinker from Berkeley to Beijing would instantly recognize the name Monteverdi.
